Well, the show was a fucking blast, thanx and respect to the bands that played and trashed the place up and of course to the 51 people that paid the fucking entrance and had tons of fun. Yeah, I know that it's sad that only 51 people (plus 35-40 more, including the members of the bands and the guestlist) bothered to come to the show, there are no excuses, even though there is an exam period for the students and it was thursday... From now on, we will starting counting our friends & our enemies, sorry mates... See ya at the Straight Opposition show in Athens, on 14th March.
Till then, the next W.A.K. HC show will be held in Komotini on 1st March, bringing Vodka Juniors from the Athens suburbs to northeast Greece; crucial for sure...
During the show, Marie True Believers gave me a cool CD compilation called "Vosgian Force" that includes many French bands with the music style varying from screamo to punk rock and from rock 'n' roll to metalcore. A really cool way to listen to some bands that you haven't ever listened before. I must say that the members of True Believers play in many other bands, as well, like Joey Jeremiah & I'm Afraid...
Mirco (Italian jerk!) gave me the To The Embers 3 songs promo and I can assure you that it's a fucking blast. You will love it if you like Trial, Bane and the likes. The guys did a Champion cover as well. They rule. Watch out for them. By the way, I wanna thank George (rock star), Spyros (west coast hero) and the other guys that helped me out in the fest. One more new release I got during the show (in distro stock, many copies available) is the Sarco Macaposi - "Save the last hope" MCD that was released some months ago from Meatbox Records. If you like Bad Religion, The Offspring, Pennywise and generally 90s SoCal punk rock, you will really like this CD. Congratulations to Johnny Negro zine and Panos Nt. for taking care of the artwork; it's really great! The band is based in Athens but have some members from Larisa.
Last but not least...
