The Casting Out is the new band of Boy Sets Fire's singer, Nathan Gray, for those who don't know.
So, their 2nd, yet unreleased, full length album, features 12 songs of emo / punk rock music, in the vein of Samiam, Jawbreaker and Dag Nasty.
There's a slight Boy Sets Fire / Thursday touch here, as well, while some guitar riffs remind me of Rise Against.
I really like the song structure and the energy that The Casting Out unleash in the record and, also, there lies that 90s vibe that draws a big smile in my face!
This is definitely an interesting release that all fans of modern & emotional punk rock should check out!
