I guess that you all know Paint It Black.
Some trivia may refresh your memory...
Philadelphia (USA), 3 full length albums in Jade Tree label (Strike Anywhere, Avail, These Arms Are Snakes, Kill Your Idols, Good Riddance, Fucked Up, Hot Water Music and thousands of others), featuring Dan Yemin as a frontman (former guitarist of Kid Dynamite and Lifetime), having David Wagenschutz (Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Good Riddance, None More Black) as their drummer from 2002 - 2006 and Jared Shavelson (The Hope Conspiracy, None More Black) as the new drummer from 2006 till now.
Paint It Black exist since 2002 and after 3 succesfull records decided to put out 2 7"s this year. The first one 'Amnesia' was released by Bridge 9 in mid June, while this one is out since last week. Both recorded by Kurt Ballou (Converge) in his Godcity studios.
'Surrender' is their Fat Wreck debut, by the way, and as it seems this band will become even more famous from now on, even though they have achieved everything an underground hardcore band would ever want, having played along with all the cool hardcore / punk rock bands of the decade.
The new 7" includes 4 songs, less than 7 minutes long, of fast and melodic hardcore / punk. No sense in writing down comparisons, descriptions & references. Punk rock the way it should be.
The cover photography is just awesome, a bit depressing but awesome.
Paint It Black are touring Europe along with Ceremony till the end of September.

P.S. Probably the most amount of band names ever stated in a review. Don't count, they are 15, including Paint It Black!
